Pictured are a sampling of industrial sites and
related community initiatives EDH has worked with
in Quincy WA, Hood River OR, Aberdeen WA, Gresham and Portland OR.
In 2006, Yahoo! was building what was then a state-of-the-art data center in the small eastern Washington community of Quincy, population, then at 5,395 residents. Since then, Quincy's population has increased by 35%, more than three times the growth rate of the state.
Today, prospects for Yahoo! are unsettled. However, other data centers keep coming - Microsoft, Intuit, Dell and multi-user centers operated by Vantage and Sabey - all because of competitive electrical power rates and state-of-the-art fiber optics connections.
EDH has worked with communities like Quincy on projects ranging from data centers to semiconductor plants to manufacturing facilities to Port facilities. We aim for sustainable jobs. But with global market churn, always be prepared with Plan B - using catalyst investments to reposition existing companies for renewed competitive advantage and leverage other opportunities as they come.
